A Systematic Review on the Use of Emerging Technologies in Teaching English as an Applied Language at the University Level

چکیده

At present, emerging technologies, such as machine learning, deep or various forms of artificial intelligence are penetrating different fields education, including foreign language education (FLE). Moreover, the current young generation was born into technological environment, and they perceive technologies being an indispensable part their everyday life. However, mainly use in informal but there is not much research FLE, namely teaching learning English applied language. Therefore, purpose this systematic review to identify, bring together, compare analyze all that currently efficiently employed based on findings detected experimental studies, we provide specific pedagogical implications how these acquisition at university level. The methodology followed PRISMA guidelines for reviews meta-analyses. results studies revealed a serious lack latest chatbots virtual reality (VR) devices, empirically (FL) education. mobile apps merely focused development FL vocabulary. also indicate although teachers might theoretically know about neural translation, do practically implement them process. suggests must be trained pedagogically guided purposefully classes support traditional instruction order identify what skills structures could developed through use. In addition, it claimed more needed clearly evidence its usefulness
